Quality Assurance

Our Standards

Use of all staff and volunteers at Motiv8 Sports and Fitness includes completion of a self disclosure form, CRB / DBS enhanced registration checks, references and a completely satisfactory interview by Motiv8 Sports and Fitness management team.

The Motiv8 Sports and Fitness team are aware that at times, as role models and mentors to young people, they may become aware of child protection issues. In these instances if a practioner believes that a child is suffering from welfare issues, or they are unsafe in any way, this will be reported immediately to Motiv8 Sports and Fitness management, who will then take appropriate steps.

Best Practice

We recognise our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people in regards to the Children’s Acts of 1989 and 2004. The 2004 Act states that anyone under the age of 18 is considered to be a child or young person.

Data and GDPR

Young people will at times be registered on our programmes. This is done to have contact information in case of an emergency, or if sessions are affected by circumstances outside of the coaching team’s control, such as poor weather conditions. Data will be stored securely, and WILL NOT be passed onto third party agencies, or used for anything other than for the above described purposes, or to inform about new offers and events that may be of interest to registered families.

Equal Opportunity

At Motiv8 Sports and Fitness we believe all young people should be developed in a open and positive environment, free from any form of discrimination. We will ensure that NO person will be inhibited from taking part in our activities on the basis of Ethnicity, Gender, Religion, or Culture, Language, Sexual Orientation or Disability.

All participants and staff are equally treated, as set out by the 2010 Equalities act.Our programmes are fully inclusive, which involves a multi faceted approach to encouraging families to work alongside coaching teams to positively guide children safely and appropriately.

We will not tolerate any form of racist, homophobic or negative ideology or terminology, and strive to constantly develop new ways to eliminate all forms of negative thinking.

All staff are expected to take part in regular upskilling to keep up to date with best practice.
